Assyrian alphabet in 6 words
As we mentioned before, to help memorizing them, the Assyrian alphabet are divided into six word-like groups:
abgad, hawwaz, khattay, kalman, sa'pas, qarshat
They don't mean anything, but sure they are easy to remember.
Any way, there is a vowel used to make them pronunced which is "ptakha", The vowel "ptakha" consists of two dots, one on top of the letter and one at the bottom. This vowel (two dots) sounds and represents "a" in English, like: "act", "man", "fan", etc. So the six group of alphabet look as follow:

Writing words
In this section, we will show you how to write words, which means joining or attaching the letters together.
At this point, we should mention that some of the letters are joined from both sides, some from right side only and a couple of them don't join from either side.
